Never new mix

A new mix is up.

I got some feedback in another forum that the choruses and bridges lacked separation and clarity, and that the snare was too thin.

I have tried to fix those things as best I could.

This is an old song of mine, I finally got around to recording and mixing.

Feedback is appreciated.

For this song I used Amplitube Metal Clean T (left side) and JCA 100H (right side)  for the high gain geetarz.

Interesting piece of metal? (is it metal or a sub genre) to start the day. Mix works well here on the Event's.

Cool song with a bit of an edge.  The guitar riff panned center and vocals (well the soft parts) remind me a wee bit of Bowie.

Good performance and the mix keeps every thing well separated!

@Zargg I have come back for another listen to this revised mix, I am not sure what the differences are as I have had so much happening here my mind is furrier than normal.

Consequently what I am not about to say might be a a whole bunch of fetid dingo's kidneys.

The vocal sounds a more pulled back in the mix but with more definition/clarity, the top end slap of the Kick is more obvious, which will help to those listening on buds and the like.

I will check to see if the vocals are where they should be. The slap on the kick is as you say, for listeners with phones etc.

I was also told the verse guitar needs a little 1 kHz, so will do those things together.

New mix is up with a bit more vocals, and a touch of 1.2 and 3.2 kHz boost on the verse guitar.
