So for those who are modular fans .. which one you think is the better product. AAS or Cherry Audio?

I think its a personal thing. Each product (and other software modulars) have advantages and disadvantages in part based on personal factors as well as factors shared by groups of users. Its kind of like "I choose to use ____________________ because for me _____________, ________________, and ________________ are a better match for what I want to do (or my needs) at the moment."

I chose to invest in Voltage Modular's products because (1) I got started on a Moog in college and prefer 1/4" phone jacks to banana plugs, (2) I like the many of the features built into the UI, (3) it doesn't use OpenGL, (4) it works with my aging eyesight, and a few other reasons. I stay with it because it allows me to be creative and do the kinds of things I want to do, etc.

I can respect the choices that others make for themselves.  I like much of what AAS products do and how they sound, but the CV-1 doesn't match my needs, but I do like how it sounds based on the factory presets I have heard.

Within a day of getting Nucleus (the Voltage Modular freebie), I felt it was the right fit for me and I have not regretted getting Core + Electro Drums the next day and becoming more deeply invested in their modules and instruments.

AAS if you want to keep your money in your wallet  after the initial buy?

Probably the best advice. ?

But Cherry Audio VM isn't so bad on that count either, if you just jump all the way into Voltage Modular Core for $94.96. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/5033-Voltage-Modular-Core-Electro-Drums

You won't get bored very fast with 105 modules and 600 presets. :)

But if you do get bored with VM Core, the Year Two Collection is on sale for $100 right now. https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/cherry-audio-year-two-collection

And if that's not enough to fill your GAS, there is also the Year Three Collection on sale for $99. https://store.cherryaudio.com/bundles/cherry-audio-year-three-collection
