imstre
I want to replace it with another key "<" i don't know what the action is, I don't find it in keyboard shortcuts. Thanks
msmcleod
Keyboard shortcuts don't use the character that pressing a key shows, instead they use the actual keyboard code sent from the keyboard itself. Keyboards designed for different countries may result in different codes than the ones you might expect. For example, UK keyboards while close to US keyboards, give different results on certain keys. The only sure way to find a particular key is to use the "Locate Key" button on the keyboard shortcuts screen and press the key you want to map. Xoo
Rather than search, use the Locate Key button to launch the key finder (if you're not doing that already). The "Search" box searches the descriptions, not the keys.

Heinz Hupfer
Hi:) He can test it! Just write Alt+60 and Alt +62 and see if it is "<" and ">". Alt+65 should be an "A". Bassman.

Heinz Hupfer
Hi:) The "~" is only availabe with the AltGr(Ctrl+Alt(Menu)) Key right beside the space key. Alt+126. Same Key as + and * on my Keyboard. Not possible to use it in Shortcuts here in Germany! Bassman.
sjoens
Ah! Now I'm less confused, I think. So is that "I < confused"? or "Confused < I"?! Both "~" and "<" require the shift key. In preferences... "~" (shift+~) not assigned "<" (shift+<) assigned to Start/Stop Rewind "," not assigned but seems to toggle track selection on & off Not sure how you're toggling between track and clip here but it looks like there is no function listed for that. Current list: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=KeyboardShortcuts.html Edited May 5, 2022 by sjoens
sjoens
FWIW they do list Move Input Focus to Track Pane & Move Input Focus to Bus Pane, but they must both be assigned for them to work.
