Organize plug-in browser

The plugins listed in the browser are color coded but I'm not quite sure of the logic behind it. The Cakewalk compressor is blue but the lp64 which is also a cakewalk plug-in is brown.

Is there a way to alphabetize the plugins? I do have them in folders like chorus and delay. Thanks!

Color codes indicate plug-in format (DX, VST2, VST3) and whether the plug-in is 32 or 64 bit.

The current theme determines the colors used.

 

The default "sort by" layouts are sorted alphabetically irrespective of case. 

User layouts are a completely manual process.
