I'm not sure what it was about this but it really grabbed me.  Maybe the smooth lounge feel.  That and the hard panned 80's video game sound effect.  I loved that.

When this started I was expecting to hate it but the more I listened the more intoxicating it became. I like its strangeness and non-conformity. The vocals reminded me of that National Express song by The Divine Comedy. Great job.

Even though I can't put my fingers on it, this is a very appealing song.  Is it the lyrics, your vocals, that organ, all of it -- ?  I don't know but I do know that I like it.

Being one who only listens to top 40 when my wife drives our cars and has control of the radio - I wouldn't know if it were a top 40 hit or not.  In spite of my lack of awareness of top 40, I still like what you did with this!
