user6908753018584891
Hi, I've been using Sonar Professional for many years (and other Sonars before that), and I just recently downloaded the free Cakewalk/Sonar because I got a new computer and Sonar Pro is no longer available. Anyway, I immediately noticed that it doesn't have any of the cool VST synthesizers that I used to love - it just has the bass, strings, drums, piano, and TTS-1. Is there a way to get all of that stuff? Or just to get Sonar Pro? If not, can anyone recommend a DAW that is most like Sonar Pro? This new confusing setup where it is Sonar but its also not Sonar but its also free is totally throwing me off. Thanks, David
scook
Using old Cakewalk products requires old Cakewalk installers. Access to those installers depends on which versions of SONAR you had licenses for and if you created a Single Sign On account on the old Cakewalk site between 2014 and 2017. scook
Make sure to install Cakewalk by BandLab after installing any old Cakewalk DAWs otherwise the old "shared" files will cause problems.
