msmcleod
I'm definitely not seeing this behaviour. I originally thought it might be down to the project reverting to a different screen set on reload, but this also works fine for me. Can you post a screenshot of your screen layout? Even better would be a quick video showing the behaviour (https://www.screentogif.com/ is good for this)
SynthManDan
This has happened to me a few times as well. I think it’s a minor bug, but isn’t a frequent one.
scook
Make sure to save the project after changing the layout. Changing the screen layout does not dirty the project so closing a project or CbB will not display a save reminder.

Maybe that's the issue... maybe if Cakewalk doesn't dirty the project, it doesn't save the changes to the screen layout. If this is the case, muting/unmuting a track then saving should solve it. scook
The state of the dirty flag does not matter. Saving a project, saves the screen layout. However, because the dirty flag is not set, it is easy to leave a project without saving the screen layout if it was changed after the last save. mark skinner
Have you tried saving your preferred set up as a "custom screen" in the screens section at the top of the page .
Gary Kallis
Theres a box in the top righthand corner. If it says "Basic", Change it to "Advanced"
