Subsequent tracks recording a previous tracks midi data

Open a new song...

Track 1 - add instrument ( any vst), arm track, record...no problem
Track 2 - add instrument ( any vst), arm track, record...no problem
Track 3 - add instrument (Komplete Kontrol), pick sound from Kontact library, arm track, record, no problem.
Track 4 - add instrument (any vst) , arm track and select record, during the recording process this track starts recording all the data from Track 3
Track 5 - same situation as track 4

For some reason once a Komplete Kontrol instrument is added to a track, every subsequent track (once record enabled) copies all the midi data from the Komplete Kontrol track.

I'm baffled...any thoughts?

If any plug-ins have "Enable MIDI Output" selected, the data from those plug-ins may be recorded on any track with their input set to "All Inputs > MIDI Omni".

By default, any synth that can send MIDI data has "Enable MIDI Output" selected.

To see if a plug-in has "Enable MIDI Output" selected, open the VT2/3 drop down in the standard header above the plug-in UI.
