IndieDev Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Hello, I set my clock to "internal", click on Apply. After a moment, I go back to the option and the clock appears set to "Audio." Why does this happen?
0 scook Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 Internal may only be used with MIDI only projects using external hardware. If there is any audio (including soft synths) in the project the clock must be audio.

But in the documentation it says this: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Dialogs2.071.html
0 scook Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 The documentation is correct as far as it goes. What it does not say is when a source may be used. If there is any audio in the project, the clock must be Audio. Project audio includes audio clips, input echo on an audio track, the audio metronome and soft synths. 1
0 Byron Dickens Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 You really want to use your audio interface as the timing master anyway.
