No drums sounding

i get no audio from abby road 80's......................i click "insert soft synth" and select abby road 80's using a mouse and the keyboard within KONTAKT i get fll sounds..........when i return to "staff view" i enter notes but no sound. All the Abby Roads (89'  90's  etc) are the same............

when i hit playback the meters in track view respond but no sound............

I do not own Kontakt but from the info above -

1. playing the keyboard in a synth plug-in confirms an audio routing only. It does not provide any info about MIDI going into the plug-in and
2. the MIDI data is not triggering sounds

 

If I had to guess, this is MIDI note display issue. Make sure the notation displayed represents the MIDI note numbers required for the plug-in. The display relies on the Base Octave for Pitches setting.

Alternately one can use a drum map or the MFX Transpose to map the data instead of changing the Base Octave for Pitches.

Make sure the input within the Kontact gui is set to omni. Gets me everytime.
