No Sound Output

Hi,

I am Rahim a very new beginner to this cakewalk and didn't have any knowledge on the MIDI outputs and other stuff, I am trying to open and check and play around with the software to learn and start making music, the problem what I am facing is there is no Input MIDI device showing up in the Preferences and I don't have any sound card plugged with my system its ASUS TUF F15 and its blank in here, and not able to hear any instrument or recording.

 

Have added Driver Mode as WASAPI Exclusive and Dithering is Rectangular.

Please help!

If you want to see an input device, you need to connect a midi keyboard to the computer.

Can you open and play a MIDI file?

There's a Tutorial sub forum I just found lots of great videos here which are really helping me get started.   The one at the top seems to cover your questions. I like the way it's broken down into topics. A lot of the You Tubes are very scattered and most way over my head.

This image in the OP is normal for a PC without a MIDI controller attached.

Use the virtual controller or mouse to enter MIDI data.
