sadicus
Hi, seeking advice on how other Cbb users organize the VST Documentation. will having PDF inside of a VST Folder cause loading issues with Cbb? I prefer to have the actual PDF about the particular VST in the same folder. Some VST are used infrequently and I forget their purpose. 'VENOM' sounds cool but have no idea what it's used for so having a PDF in the folder is useful. I could place a shortcut in the VST Folder linking to 'My Documents' with a list of the VST and respective PDF. John Vere
It fine. The VST scan is only looking for dll. and ignores all else. I think only the right sort of dll. I put everything I download for free in the Program Files/ VST folder. This includes any read me files and PDF's.

The scanner attempts to load all files with a dll extension unless they are in the default vst3 folder. The scanner attempts to load all files with a vst3 extension too. In the default vst3 folder files with a dll extention are ignored. They are considered support files. This is why it is important not to add folders containing random dlls to the scan path. It is common to have support files in the scan path too. This includes pdfs. Those files are ignored.
