Whilst writing or editing notes in the piano roll, I like to use the 'snap to' tool. Recently (last few weeks) the snap tool function has been less and less accurate and has slowed my work flow and production down enormously, and is very frustrating when, for example, you just want to line up a crochet on the beat, but the snap tool has multi positions for the note, but not at the beat (or position) that I want. I can overcome this in a long winded way by quantising, but on a large piece of music this is neither efficient or spontaneous.
For context I have been using Cakewalk for 15 years (including the old Sonar 4) so this is not just because I am a newbie.

Any ideas, or better still, answers, please?
