I went with Studio One Pro after I realized that the Cubase Pro demo required buying a hardware authorization dongle first! Although you can run Cubase Elements with the e-license. I liked Elements, but ...

I have both a Cubase Pro and an Elements license.  I put Elements on my Surface, and use it while traveling.   I like Cubase.

I heard they gonna change auth stuff .... now it's been some time but i heard it again lately ....from their support

i don't know why i really love the Cubase features but i keep using S1 lol and i still didn't solved the stupid issue of not being able to have overlapping audio clip without corssfade as default !
