Loop record not working as expected

Normally I just select an area and put loop on and when I record it loops back and mutes the previous take, instead  it is playing the previous take rather than muting it and I have comping selected.

 

Any help fixing this would be great.

Okay just found another new loop back section but this does not fix the problem either.

I am assuming this feature is now broken.

Is there a way to roll back to a previous version of Cakewalk?

It just magically started working.

I deleted the video content I had loaded into cakewalk. Saved my project as a new file and moved a few tracks around and suddenly it was working.
