UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL CAKEWALK WITHOUT LOSING PROJECTS AND DATA (solved)

Question

Posted

Hi during the last update something went wrong and when the update was over I got a message recommending me to uninstall and reinstall Cakewalk as it would probably show some problems due to the wrong updating.

Since then Cakewalk won't work correctly anymore.. There are really some major issues, it's acting weird and it's impossible to use it, so I need to uninstall and reinstall it, but I'm really afraid to lose all my projects, library, adds-on and plugins. I read somewhere that uninstalling it through Bandlab assistant would not delete data but I can't risk to lose all my work and plugins.

Thanks

Simply running the uninstall/reinstall from BA will not affect any user data.

Running a clean install does not affect projects, however; it may affect plug-ins. See this post if you elect to perform a clean install
