Yamaha Steinberg USB greyed out

Hi guys,

I use Yamaha thr10C as my audio interface and  i want to use the Steinberg USB DI  but its grayed out on the device list. Is there a way to fix this? i installed all the necessary drivers.

This is a limitation imposed by the ASIO specification. Only one ASIO driver may be used at a time. To switch drivers deselect the currently selected input and output drivers then all the options should be available.

Quick search on the net reveals that there are drivers available for this device:

Why are you trying to use ASIO4ALL? Just download and install the correct driver. Discard ASIO4ALL altogether. I've had a Steinberg interface and it was very stable, I had no problems with it at all.

Ah. You need to de-select *both* input and output before it releases the previous driver. I was only doing the input side and it didn't work.
