Is there an easy reliable way to update assistant , and Cakewalk on an offline pc with a flash drive ?? If so , I could use the details .. I will eventually run internet to my studio , but for now that's pretty low on my list. "Thanks" for any info .... Mark
scook Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 It is possible to install BA and CbB from a thumb drive but there is no way to activate CbB without an internet connection.

Kurre Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 (edited) As Scook said. Installation - yes, Activation - no. An update consists of both those things. That 6 month thingy is because you don't have to activate every time you make an update installation. Edited April 27, 2019 by Kurre Addition.
scook Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 Regardless of how the program is installed and updated, it will need to refresh its activation periodically. Currently the timeout is set to 6 months. Connecting the PC to the internet while installing and updating is the best way. This also activates the program.
