And you don't even have to put your finger against the plastic of a spinning tape roll to get a flanger effect!

AFAIK there are only a couple manufacturers of 2" tape remaining. Vintage King is selling reels for $345.

That's about 3 1TB SSDs today.

 

Much more bang for the buck I'd say.
