Defaulting to Offline Help

A tip appears in the documentation...

Note: If you prefer to always use offline Help, go to Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced in your Cakewalk software and select Always Use Offline Help.

But I don't have that option, at least not in that path. Is it elsewhere?

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, offline Help is not available within CbB.  You'll just have to open it as a pdf.

Yep, it's on my desktop. Not too inconvenient to have to go there. Thanks.

A way to access the PDF from inside Cakewalk is to add a link to it from the Utilities menu. Very handy, saves having to minimize or switch out of the program to launch it.

@scook's CbB Tools include a utility for managing Utility menu entries.

You can force it (if you have an older SONAR .chm file, which won't be up-to-date) by adding:

UseOnlyOfflineHelp=1

to the registry at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Core
