whinnerah
I hope someone can give me a clue what's going on here. Kontakt (version 6.6) vst3 is shown as present in the Plugin Manager but is not available in Insert Synth or from the Synth Rack. Other vst3 instruments load just fine.......................... Steve Harder
Lots of folks on other forums reporting issues with Kontakt vst3 and various daws. Use vst2 until the public beta vst3 testing gets some fixes in place.
Blindeddie
Did you check under "Uncategorized"? thats where mine was until I move it. K6 VST3 works without issue here. Edited August 21, 2021 by Blindeddie
timboalogo
You can check to see if it's enabled as a synth: - start Cakewalk Plugin Manager under the Utilities menu - find your plug under the VST3 Instruments category and click on it then click on the Plug-in Properties button - if enable as plug-in or configure as synth are unchecked then check them and ok your way out - you may have to rescan your plugs at this point This has worked for me in the past with a synth here and there, Tim Edited August 21, 2021 by timboalogo Forgot

whinnerah
@Blindeddie, you got me looking again. I have no Uncategorised sof soft synths but I've now noticed that all my NI VST2 synths are under "Native Instruments Gmbh" whilst Kontakt VST3 is under "Native Instruments". Now I've found it, it works without issue as you said. Thanks for the clue!
Noel Borthwick
Which version of Cakewalk are you running. We have not seen any issues with the VST3 version of Kontakt. In fact we worked with NI on ensuring compatibility for the 2021.06 release.
