Flemming Jessen Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Hi I have 2 PCs installed with CbB - all new and uptodate - and with win10 in new installations. On 1 I can easily record a simpel vocal and transform it into midi. Just as easy as seen on several tutorials. On the other, I get the same dialogbox (... it might take some time to convert...) but after a second it is finished, but the midi channel is empty. Have any of you experienced this, and/or do you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
Xoo Posted August 3, 2021 Posted August 3, 2021 Melodyne not installed/licensed correctly on the second? 2
Flemming Jessen Posted August 5, 2021 Author Posted August 5, 2021 Sorry it's only the version installed by Cakewalk, not a full version
mark skinner Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 (edited) @Flemming Jessen , Sorry .. I don't have a reliable answer but , just out of curiosity what do you do with a vocal midi track after you successfully capture it ? mark Edited October 12, 2021 by mark skinner
Derick Anderson Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Could be a licensing issue with the CbB version of Melodyne. If you have logged into CbB as the same user on both one will activate and the second one will not. 1

You can get very creative if you like. Sing a melody, convert to midi, play through any synth you want. The door is wide open. 3

Pitch correct the midi file and use it as a "guide" for the retake. True story: Covered Come Together, the melody starts on the bIII. Tune is in D, I come in on the I every time and slide it up to the bIII. Was driving me NUTS! Put an F, used an organ patch, over the top of the intro, cured the problem... t haven't played the tune in a long time, would probably hit the I on the first take am I supposed to notate minor 3rd as iii ?
