Squonk2
Where do you typically put izotope Neutron in your track FX chain... I'm thinking it's last in the chain or second last before reverb if using reverb. How do you order it?
John Vere
I would not have reverb in a vocal track bin. It is always a effect send to a reverb buss. The other 2 processors would be EQ and a compressor in the Pro Channel. So this leaves my Effects bin Empty. This is where I put it the few times I tried it. It’s a heavy CPU load for my system and causes dropouts so I'm not really using it. Edited June 12, 2021 by John Vere
Clovis Ramsay
@Squonk2 Neutron is in itself a multi faceted effects processor that works as its own FX Chain. Use Neutron all on its own when using the “mothership” plugin or, you can use just the single modules and build out your own FX Chain. Its also worth noting that when using any of the single processing modules, they will communicate with Neutron “mothership” when it is used on a mix and master bus enabling you to utilize some automated features. This also is true when using the Relay plugin on each track. Relay also enable you to even insert the Visual Mixer plugin on the master buss and control your pans and track faders within its interface.
fret_man
I put Relay on each track (placed first to use it's volume trim) and Neutron on the master track (again placed first).
