Apqu
Hi All, Sorry of this has been asked before but I've searched and can't find much on it. Basically I am using some of the Cakewalk VSTs (SI-Drum Kit & SI-Bass Guitar) but every playback (or project reload) they stop playing any sound and I have to go and select the PRG setting in the VST popup again (ex "Clean Picked Bass"), this happens every time I stop or pause the playback, whilst the track is "playing" if I then select the PRG again it magically starts the sound correctly. I am also using another VST (Garritan) and this works correctly all the time (apart from losing it's volume setting)? I have tried the Cakewalk VSTs both with and without this VST loaded. I am very confused what is going on and any assistance would be very much appreciated. Many Thanks :)
John Vere
The settings in the track inspector will over rule the GUI patch settings. Set Bank and Patch to "none" in the track inspector when you use the GUI to make patch changes. Also check the event list if this is a downloaded midi file. I cover this in my tutorials found in my signature. Edited June 4, 2021 by John Vere
scook
Often problems with Cakewalk sfz engine synths are related to 3rd party MIDI files. Here is a post on how to deal with this issue 2 hours ago, Apqu said: I am also using another VST (Garritan) and this works correctly all the time (apart from losing it's volume setting)? This may be due to the per-project Zero Controllers When Play Stops setting
