Hello - I am an educator teaching Digital Audio Recording in a Highschool settting. Traditionally, we have used Sonar professional as our classroom DAW. Since the pandemic, we have moved to using Cakewalk by Bandlab. The problem I am currently encountering is that a student is missing the Video View and cannot watch full screen videos within cakewalk. The student was able to import the Video and its accompanying audio but cannot select the Video View from the View menu (it doesn't exist there). We've both downloaded the same version of Cakewalk by Bandlab within days of one another and mine has the Video View but his does not. Is there a quick fix for this that doesn't require reinstalling the software. The student is on a school board computer that doesn't allow installation privileges. It would have to go back to the IT department.
The current project students are working on is a foley artist project where they have to recreate the audio by recording their own sound effects, which requires precise hand/eye/ear coordination. The thumbnail view is just not accurate enough to allow him to place his sound effects throughout.
