It has gone down significantly to $249.

With me having Melodyne, I sure ain't paying this much for something Melodyne can do.

I get that, but imo still not worth at that price point. I do agree that this may be a godsend for someone else

Didn't realize that. May justify the steep price, I am not sure. I never wanted to control any midi software with my voice. As the SOS review stated, it would take lots of practice to get it right.
