Right, I have to click with mouse the empty space behind Start Screen and then it will work. I posted a problem of similar (of maybe the same) kind of issue in the EA2 thread.

As far as I know, the Cakewalk Start Screen is actually a separate program called CakewalkStartScreen.exe stored in the folder C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\StartPage. That’s probably why it doesn’t react to keyboard shortcuts recognized by CbB.

I understand that this is an internal technical justification, but it does not solve the problem.
Nothing prevents CakewalkStartScreen.exe from capturing the keystrokes and sending them to Cakewalk.exe.
