Rogério
When I try to activate Preferences using the shortcut "P" while Start Screen is being shown, nothing happens.
chris.r
Right, I have to click with mouse the empty space behind Start Screen and then it will work. I posted a problem of similar (of maybe the same) kind of issue in the EA2 thread.
Canopus
As far as I know, the Cakewalk Start Screen is actually a separate program called CakewalkStartScreen.exe stored in the folder C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\StartPage. That’s probably why it doesn’t react to keyboard shortcuts recognized by CbB. Edited April 23, 2021 by Canopus

Nothing prevents CakewalkStartScreen.exe from capturing the keystrokes and sending them to Cakewalk.exe.
Noel Borthwick
Start screen is going to go away and be replaced by something much better in the future, So no further work is planned for Start Screen itself until then.
