Vincent Séjourné Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Hello, i am a new user of Cakewalk and i like it, but there is one thing that bothers me a little, maybe i am not alone in this case. when i play or record something, i noticed that the time counter and the playhead cursor are not smooth but jerky, is there something to modify in the preferences to get them smooth? In preferences, i tried ASIO, WASAPI and MME but nothing changed. Here is my PC configuration: CPU : Intel Core i7-6700K MEMORY : 32 GB SOUNDCARD : Realtek High Definition Audio Thank you for your help

Vincent Séjourné Posted April 21, 2021 Author Posted April 21, 2021 (edited) Ok, i have got the answer, this problem is only present in Cakewalk by Bandlab, the previous versions of Sonar doesn't have this problem, today i tried Sonar X3 and it runs smoothly as it should. So i think the problem come from the source code of the software, i hope this will be fixed soon. Cheers! Edited April 21, 2021 by Vincent Séjourné
scook Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Check for config differences between X3 and CbB such as the UseHardwareSamplePosition setting in Aud.ini
Dirk Kaulbarsch Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Interestingly, when right-clicking in the arrangement window (and only there), and a context menu appears, the playhead becomes (very) smooth instantly. Can you Bandlab people investigate that?
