Question

I have older versions of Cakewalk over time that contained plug-ins I do not want to lose. I would like to uninstall them but keep all the goodies that came with them. I need to free up room but I am not sure I trust the uninstaller to "decide" what to keep. All the plug-ins are in program files/cakewalk/Vstplugins or program files 86/cakewalk/vstplugins. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a reply to a similar thread

How much space is returned depends on what was originally installed. The DAWs themselves do not take up much space.

Removing old Cakewalk DAWS using the uninstall processes will likely break newer installs included CbB. If it does break, it will require re-installing CbB.

There are strategies for freeing up space on the system drive such as moving sample and loop libraries to other drivers.

Usually this type of discussion benefits from a good understanding of the current environment including hardware and products installed.
