I've developed a user preset for the sonitus compresser before a recent crash.  It occasionally appears in some projects.  Where are the user preset effects stored?  I want to get it back into the user presets for new projects.  It doesn't appear at all within the preset options now.

have you tried plugin manager you can import\export preset on a file..

Have you tried going back into one of those older projects and "resaving" the preset?

I know it's a workaround, but that might kick start it so that you have it in newer projects...

I believe the Sonitus presets are stored in the registry. What might be a better idea is to set up the plug in just how you like it and create a FX chain preset instead. You can still create a chain with one plug in and it stores all plug in data.

Depends on how it was saved. There are two preset managers available to the Sonitus Compressor. The one circled in red stores presets to the registry. The one circled in green stores to disk.

I did save to the green preset you indicated.  I thank you for your answer.   However, after reading Arlen's answer, it dawned upon me to just find in a project and save it as a new user preset.  In case that is unsuccessful, where do I find those saved in the green box?

The default location is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins

The file for the Sonitus Compressor is called fxCompressorDX.ini
