Midi Input into Autotune in Cakewalk?

Question

Posted

I have 2 questions. One is: Does the free autotune plugin Gsnap let you input midi to an audio file (so you can choose the specific notes something snaps to)? And if it does, how would I go about setting it up?

Any FX plug-in that supports MIDI input has the option to "Enable MIDI Input" in its VST2/3 drop down in the standard header like this

After selecting "Enable MIDI Input", the plug-in will appear in the output drop down in all MIDI tracks.

Create a MIDI track set the output to the plug-in.

I just tried with gsnap and it wont pop up(I don't think it supports midi input, unless I did something wrong). Is there a good free autotune that allows me to use midi input?

EDIT: It finally popped up, but it seems like the autotune is still doing it automatically and not locking onto the notes that I assigned it to using the midi

I got that part to work but now the autotune is just automatically snapping notes still and not doing the notes I assigned it to. I did all of the steps, is there something specific I have to do with this plugin?
