Jim Fogle Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 @Robert McClellan, Interesting video. I see numerous forum comments from users wanting a quick and easy way to export multiple stems. It looks like Mix Recall is a good way to perform this task. Can a user set up a variety of screen sets and save the screen sets as a template? If I have a client that always want the same stems, one stereo stem with vocal and background vocals, another stereo stem without background vocals and a third with no vocals for example, can I save the mix recalls as a project template? 1
Robert McClellan Posted March 10, 2021 Author Posted March 10, 2021 Great question! Yes! The Screensets can be integrated into a template and saved as such. Likewise, if you go back to a previous project that doesn’t have them they can be imported. However, mix recalls will have to be per project obviously. 1
Jacques Boileau Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 Hi Robert, Great video! Always informative and well made. You talk about screensets, but not workspaces. Do you use screensets exclusively or do you use both of them for different scenarios? 2
Robert McClellan Posted March 10, 2021 Author Posted March 10, 2021 I see the former as a more straightforward approach. Much like patch points and aux tracks. I’d rather use an aux track 90% of the time. Hope that makes sense. I might do another explanation vid on the workspaces as well. (Formerly called Lens... ??♂️) 2
JoeGBradford Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Hi Robert - thanks for your response re screensets on the YouTube page for this video which you have also referred to above in your response to Jim. A video on Workspaces would be great too. I set one up to create my template but I am sure there are many like me who would still like more guidance on their use! 1
