bats brew Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 (edited) https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/apollo-18 a really nice, mellow, bittersweet song that features slide guitar. Apollo 18: the Gemini, and then the Apollo missions that ran thru the 60’s to the 70’s, was an amazing time in my mind; Apollo 18 would have traveled to the Copernicus Crater, but it never happened, and the Apollo program was retired. A bittersweet melody runs thru this song, as the ending of the Apollo program was just as bittersweet. from the new album "Elemental", available here: Bandcamp:https://batsbrew.bandcamp.com/ Apple Music:https://music.apple.com/us/album/elemental/1551745206 Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08VJQJM4P/ref=dm_ws_sp_ps_dp Edited February 26, 2021 by batsbrew 2
Andrew Xh Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 Loving this music. So relaxing. I have upgraded my floor standing speakers and listing the sound in all of the corners. Giving me a feeling like early morning. Keep it up.
Lynn Wilson Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 This is a nice way to start my day. Your unpredictability is one of your greatest talents.

THAT is the way to listen to this! 1

Ruralrocker2010 Posted February 27, 2021 Posted February 27, 2021 Is your acoustic recorded or a midi instrument? Sounds very authentic.

bats brew Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 i think the slide made this tune... even tho it was written on piano!
bats brew Posted March 1, 2021 Author Posted March 1, 2021 does anybody else hear what they think is an 'accordian' on this mix? asking for a friend. heheh
jack c. Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 i'm back in the 60's again nice sound effects,chords,acoustic,recording job.jack c.
Wookiee Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 I hit play before I read a word written, I heard that slide and thought Bats is in a melancholy, thoughtful, retrospective mood with this. How sweet and bitter at the same time I can only stand and applaud your skill, your chops, your innate ability to impart emotion into your guitar. Sincerely thank you for sharing this @batsbrew.

noynekker Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 batsbrew . . . in my mind, as I'm listening, I'm hearing a classic . . . it's just so well done ! I'm hearing 12 string, (sadly) I still have one in the closet, used to play it a lot, and really love that sound, but the fingers all went soft, what can I say. Interesting ambient perc efx you've added here, very tastefully done. Maybe I'll dust her off.
David Sprouse Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 OOh this is really different bat. I like it. BTW until I read your missive, I was thinking you were referring to Nietzsche (little philosophy joke). I love your instrumentals. They are very engaging.
Paul Bush Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 yes yes an original piece of work , sublime , thanks for sharing
