a really nice, mellow, bittersweet song that features slide guitar.

Apollo 18: the Gemini, and then the Apollo missions that ran thru the 60’s to the 70’s, was an amazing time in my mind; Apollo 18 would have traveled to the Copernicus Crater, but it never happened, and the Apollo program was retired. A bittersweet melody runs thru this song, as the ending of the Apollo program was just as bittersweet.

this softer acoustic based stuff, is a great chill mode for me...

i didn't really think the slide parts thru,

i had the acoustics done, and didn't know what to do with them..

then the melody for the slide parts just popped in my head,

that was one session to do all the slide parts, so it WAS kinda unpredictable, even for me!!

hey rocker! it SHOULD sound authentic! it is!! heheh...

i don't do anything midi, except the drum programming on the rock tunes.

this is all played in front of a mic.

the electrics, like i said before, are all capture direct from a Strymon Iridium pedal. bass too.

I hit play before I read a word written, I heard that slide and thought Bats is in a melancholy, thoughtful, retrospective mood with this.

How sweet and bitter at the same time I can only stand and applaud your skill, your chops, your innate ability to impart emotion into your guitar.

batsbrew . . . in my mind, as I'm listening, I'm hearing a classic . . . it's just so well done ! I'm hearing 12 string, (sadly) I still have one in the closet, used to play it a lot, and really love that sound, but the fingers all went soft, what can I say.  Interesting ambient perc efx you've added here, very tastefully done.  Maybe I'll dust her off.

thanks man, that's real nice of you to say...

no 12 string, just a pair of acoustic 6 string tracks, playing some different voicings, to make it sorta sound like a 12 string.
