Behavior of Synth Properties when double-clicked from Synth Rack

Is it no longer possible to see more than one synth properties of my soft synths at a time?

When I double-click another synth in the rack, the new synth properties and synth replaces the former one that was open.  I used to be able to see all of them layered and sitting behind one another, which I prefer oftentimes.

Help please?
