Bassfaceus
hi all how do i do that without having to select all the kicks. if i had a drum map there is mute /solo ..but otherwise is there any way to ...say select the the midi note the kicks are triggered by and mute that note thereby muting everything it triggers Edited February 4, 2021 by Bassfaceus
Bassfaceus
OK think i worked that one out ..select key on keyboard (in PRV) then klik on one event with mute tool mutes all same events ..cool.. But what about the reverse ...soloing...how do i instead of muting a series of midi entries solo them? i cant find a solo tool
Hatstand
this is where having separate audio tracks/outputs from the drum vst come in handy. you just mute/solo the individual track
Bassfaceus
yep roger that.. but with Kontakt the cymbals come thru the overheads and to have discrete control over their volume i need to bounce them out separately so being able to solo them in the midi track will be helpful

Bristol_Jonesey
This is where Drum Maps come into their own. Each key has it's own M & S buttons

Peace. Exactly. I use separate MIDI tracks for almost everything here, then you get individual channel control for Mute, Solo, transpose and delay (in the Inspector) and, importantly, you can easily use the Vel +/- slider in track view for "MIDI mixing". ✌️ Edited February 4, 2021 by GreenLight
