I think Jack is right, maybe as simple as doubling it with a bass, even high pass the bass a bit (a lot?) just to "define" the notes. Its a "taste" thing, more than anything. I always emphasize the "click" of the beater on the kick, more than anything to say "here I am"! Again, its a "taste" thing, some don't like it at all (I mention it in reviews, some agree and some "oh no" don't want that). (not a crit of your kick, just comparing that to using a bass the same way) Oh, BTW, Cool Stuff! Good on ya both again...?'s t 1
Lynn Wilson Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 You two go together like bread and butter. I really like this song, and had to listen to it several times just to let it sink in. I hope you do it more often! 1 1
bjornpdx Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Vocal treatment is really good. I thought the synth in the back could use a change up here and there, but great song overall. Enjoyed it. -Bjorn 1 1
Bajan Blue Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 good track - agree regards the bass, needs something different - i was listening on small monitors and you can only just hear the "growl" as tom said. otherwise this could be a really good track, like it - vocals are good of course!!
