Bassfaceus Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 yes ive looked but from memory (ive come back to cakewalk after long absence) there was a very easy way of just cliking a note and it would sound. but i simply cant remember how.
tecknot Posted January 30, 2021 Posted January 30, 2021 Hi Bassfaceus, Try Edit | Preferences (with Advanced checked at the bottom) > Customization > Editing > MIDI > Velocity Audition. Kind regards, tecknot
Bassfaceus Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 Thanks but that only applies to velocity changes as i make them...not what im looking for. i just want to klik on a midi note and hear it....simple
sjoens Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 It should work if it's connected to a sound source/instrument.
John Vere Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Works here, just make sure the smart tool changes to the move tool. looks like a cross. Place cursor in "C" area. This is a picture of a midi blob with all the hot areas for the smart tool. C is move and A is Velocity The greens ends are for dragging the note longer or shorter.
Bassfaceus Posted February 3, 2021 Author Posted February 3, 2021 yep thanks slowly working it all out
Kurre Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Then of course you have the scrub tool, j, on the keyboard.
