Noel Borthwick Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 So indeed it looks like your USB interface got flagged as “enhancible” That would certainly account for the poor quality audio since its not designed for music production. I would report it to Microsoft through feedback as well as SSL 1
John Vere Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 That's very strange that that option would even be available? As Noel is showing, it's only an option for me on my on board sound, there is nothing like that for my Focusrite.
Noel Borthwick Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Its not just for onboard audio. It shows up with my USB headset too. So its apparently something based on how the driver is written. If SSL is relying on USB class audio support this could explain it since thats using the Microsoft driver.
greg54 Posted January 16, 2021 Author Posted January 16, 2021 But if the enhancements are turned off for my interface, then it should be fine, correct?
Noel Borthwick Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Yes. Also turn off any surround stuff as noted.
