Scott Thorpe
I have just reinstalled Cakewalk as well as the IK Multimedia ARC 2 VST 64 bit plugin and no matter what I do, I cannot get ARC to show in my list of installed plugins within Cakewalk: -I have uninstalled ARC and reinstalled ARC. -I have reset and rescanned my VST plugins within Cakewalk numerous times with no luck and I am out of ideas. -I have set Cakewalk to rescan existing plugins -I have tired all combinations of the above Does anyone know why the plugin isn't showing in the list? It used to work perfectly.
Stephen Morgan
First, do you know what folder the ARC plugin is in? And is that folder in your "VST Scan Paths" list? (Preferences -> File -> VST Settings)
lapasoa
Find where ARC dll is and in Plugins Manager options open VST scan path and add the folder you've found. Check OK. Good luck.

There is no need to enable Rescan options when running a Reset. The reset scans every dll and vst3 in the scan path except for the dlls in the dedicated vst3 paths. One thing not mentioned in the OP was if a scan log was created. Enabling "Generate Scan Log" when running a Reset or Rescan can be helpful. Scott Thorpe
I have a few paths entered into Cakewalk where plugins reside, however I have not been able to verify that ARC is correctly installing into one of them. This is despite it appearing to do so when I install it, as it does ask me where to install and I do select one of the paths. I will generate a log and see if it provides any insight. Thanks! Scott Thorpe
Ok, Cakewalk will find ARC during the scan, but it won't show in my list of plugins to install. I have tried creating a log and it shows in the log, I just can't see it as an option to add in the plugin manager. It is not set to excluded either. scook
If it scans without error then it should be a plug-in list somewhere. Have you tried searching for it in the plug-in browser using one of the "Sort by" plug-in layouts? What is the path to the dll?
Scott Thorpe
The path to the dll is C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins and this is entered as a path in Cakewalk, as a result Cakewalk finds it and scans it but it won't show in the list of available plugins. This is getting frustrating
Scott Thorpe
Even when I remove ARC and reinstall and rescan, Cakewalk finds it, but doesn't report it as new which I expect it should.
scook
It may help to see images of the appropriate sections of the scan log or a link to the full scan log. What plug-in layout are you using?
