It starts, the small black cakewalk by bandlab  appears but it just sits there with the little blue spinning circle. I tried the computer reboot but it didn't change it.

Hi Kurt,

I would suggest that you completely uninstall Cakewalk (including deleting Registry entries) and then do a reinstall.

Kind regards,

Hi. Please could you give me more information about how you solved it?
Cakewalk has not worked for several hours. It gets stuck in the black window with the name of the program, but it doesn't progress any further than that. Neither do the blue signs on the bottom left that appeared earlier.

I ran my HP diagnostics, deleted my cookies and cached stuff and then did a second reboot and it worked. Sounds like yours is doing what mine did.

Thank you. I've already tried all of that and a lot more, but nothing seems to work. I had to install a version of Sonar Platinum in order to finish a job that I have to deliver today. Too bad, I really wish I could get the Cakewalk working again

Fixed: apparently, you only had to leave the program for about 10 minutes until it started. After that first time, it starts to start normally.
