Project all show as 32 bit now

I have for a long time created all my projects with a resolution of 24 bit, 44.1kHz and sometime this year I noticed they are now showing up as 44.1 x 32 bit. I'd like to stay at the 24 bit rate to keep things consistent working with others and I'm not sure how to make that happen or how my projects all end up being at 32 bit now. I know I can create a mix at any resolution, but I would like the project files to be at the 24 bit resolution. Any help would be much appreciated. 

I looked in the Project Audio folder of one project and I've notice it has both 32 bit and 24 bit files in it.
