Trevor
Hey all, I read on one of the FAQs about transferring our old cakewalk purchases to a new accounts in the future if we set this one up with the same email. Is that process in place yet and how do I go about it? I have been using X3 for the past five years, got a new PC this week and went to re-install and noticed I cant get into my old account anymore. I'm sure CbB has plenty of great updates but as far as I can tell I don't see any of the tons of plugins/vsts I have on X3, besides tts the SI suite and sonitus fx (please correct me if I am wrong)
Wookiee
@Trevor I just managed to Login to the www.Cakewalk.com site I need to scroll to the bottom to find the "My Account" link from there I had access to some but not all of my historic software. Hope that helps.
Trevor
Hey Wookiee, Sorry I should have specified I can't get into the account because I don't remember the password. (been five years since I signed into it) but when I request the reset email nothing comes to me and I cant email support because you have to be signed in to be able to. I've been trying to get into it for three days. I do still happen to have the product key though, so I thought maybe I could move the program files manually from my old computer to my new one with an external drive. Haven't tried it yet but even if it does work won't I need access to the account to register it with the new computer?

John Vere
Can you open CCC and log on there? You must have been doing that on the old computer to stay up to date and your password would have been saved by your Browser. If you used Chrome that should If you have all of your old installers you can re build everything with that. There should be serial numbers and activation codes which you also hopefully copied down to a notepad or screenshots as well. If you can't get at CCC then you could try the offline activation which I do believe is still working as they never killed the servers. The old Sonar stuff is really nothing to Bandlab, it's not their responsibility, it is up to the individual to make sure they kept the old software and all serials etc. on file. Hope that helps. Mine shows everything from Sonar 1.x.x XL onwards. The only things that are missing are Cakewalk Pro Audio 7, Pro Audio 9, and the MP3 Encoder. @Trevor - all you need is your password for www.cakewalk.com. Both your serial number & registration code should be there as Wookie says.
