Having problems again finding my newly created track templates. Looks like maybe from the old days updating from Cakewalk to Sonar, to Bandlab, my current CBB still likes templates saved as .cwx files but it looks like the file extension is now .cwt, yet no templates with the .cwt file extension appear in my list of templates when I try to insert them in a new project. I'm storing the new templates in C:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Core\Track Templates with .cwt file extensions. Somehow I made a .cwx template a few months ago and it's the only custom template that shows in the list.

Anybody know a way to save as .cwx or get my system working correctly with .cwt. files?

Thanx, Frederick

Track Templates have a cwx extension whereas Project Templates have a cwt extension. These two types of templates are not interchangeable. To save a track as a Track Template, you right-click on the track and from the context menu select Save As Track Template.

Track templates (.cwx) and project templates (.cwt) are, by default, stored in different folders.

The folder locations are defined in Preferences > File > Folder Locations.

The image in the help shows the default paths.
