ZincT
Thanks Larry. The update actually worked from within BLA for me this time.

Sent4th
Can't get the BLA to update. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the BLA shows an update available but it disappears when I hit the update button.

LittleStudios
Yeah same. Then again, it's never worked properly.
scook
Just tried the update. Worked OK. Looks like they reworked the loop browser. Fortunately, BA is no longer needed once CbB is installed.
LittleStudios
Had to uninstall via the control panel. Did the old shutdown and restart. Reinstalled and presto! It worked.

TracingArcs
Had the usual dance of "nuffin appenning" when trying to update. Resulting in the almost mandatory uninstall of BLA and d/load and install of a new one.?
Max Arwood
Vanished after clicking update.
user 905133
I had previously uninstalled Bandlab Assistant since I no longer needed it. Downloading the current version from scratch worked for me. The toughest part was trying to find where I had my ID and password! As noted, the loops browser has been reworked. No more complicated non-scrolling filter! ? Thanks for the heads up.

As far as I know this is only true for "online" computers, i.e. if you have to reactivate an offline install, then you still need BA! ?
Hillmy
It worked for me. I don't know if some of you that have a problem waited for it to update. It doesn't show a status bar of it downloading the update. If you have fast internet then the wait will be seconds. But if you have slow internet, you will wait and think nothing is happening. For me, all I had to do was wait almost a minute and it downloaded and installed automatically (it does show install progress though).
Sent4th
Problem solved for me. I went to Cakewalk help center site and followed the following instructions: If you see an update error or experience any difficulty while attempting to update BandLab Assistant, you may want to remove your existing version and reinstall the latest version. 1. Use the Add/Remove Programs feature from Windows to locate and remove your existing version of BandLab Assistant. 2. Download and install the latest version of BandLab Assistant from the following link: https://www.bandlab.com/download/assistant/windows Now my Bandlab is updated to 6.4.
Fwrend
I always have to download the assistant manually at work. Hopefully, my home internet will improve drastically soon as they lay fiber optic around our little lake! Download Page

I don't have Chrome and it worked fine. Edited December 11, 2020 by RobertWS
