Александр Кулаев Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Good afternoon! I constantly have a message of "Cannot Find or open file". The message appears when I begin to edit the clip in Melodyne and also when I stick together several clips in one command "Bounce To Clip" (even without participation of "Melodyne"). I cannot understand the reason.
Noel Borthwick Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Your status bar says “Saving file”. Were you saving the project or do you have auto save enabled?
Squonk2 Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 Anyone found an answer for this yet? I'm getting the same error message, although once I click OK it seems to be fine.
msmcleod Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 It could also be your Anti-virus or a cloud-sync app accessing the file at the same time. Make sure your Cakewalk projects directory is excluded from any of these. For cloud backup, I use a couple of batch files to copy my project files to/from a different drive which my cloud app syncs from. That way it's not trying to sync stuff while I'm in the middle of editing or recording. I can choose when to run the batch files to sync to the cloud.
Lost Phases Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 I was receiving this same issue, but i don't know what made this go away. It could be because I switched off Auto-Save (as it was somehow slowing down Cakewalk everytime it was saving the changes) or it can be also because i started saving projects in Cakewalk Bundle (.cwb) format, which basically takes anything related to your project, from bounced audio clips to audio samples that you use within the project and puts it into a single project file. You can try any one of these changes to see if it goes away.
