GlennP
Hi all, I know so little when it comes to hardware and wondering if this would be a good replacement for my aging machine? https://deals.dell.com/en-au/productdetail/6ih3 Thanks

However you would still need a decent USB Audio Interface with that. For about $99 I would suggest the AUDIENT EVO 4, got one a few months back, best buy I have done in a good while, no regrets: https://evo.audio/products/evo-4/overview/

But unless you need the portability, a Desktop would likely be cheaper and last longer at similar specs. Also $1300 for a machiene that doesnt' even come with Win10 Pro (just home) seems pretty steap.

Thanks Brain I should of added... - that's Australian dollars - I have a capable Desktop machine so the laptop is for field work and general stuff Also I've only ever used Win Home, don't even know what extras are in Win Pro (I'll google it and study up) As it will be intresting to see what improvements to a DAW it has (if any) Edited November 27, 2020 by GlennP

But certainly look it up and see what is important to you.
