Andrew Bell
After more than ten years using Cakewalk, the software will not start up. I just get the splash screen, and then nothing more happens. I have tried reinstalling it several times from Bandlab Assistant, and I even upgraded my PC to Windows 10 so I could use the latest version of Cakewalk. But nothing. No error messages, just the splash screen. Any ideas? Thanks, Andrew
martsave martin s
you can try open a project directly instead of open cakewalk first.. if you have scan plugins on start-up,i would disable it.. Noel Borthwick
Which version of Cakewalk are you running? In case you can't open the app you can check the version in windows via the file properties of the exe file. Make sure you have installed the latest 2020.11 release which is build 99. If you are unsure you can uninstall the program and then re install via bandlab assistant.
Paul Wintz
I had this problem also. To fix it, I opened Window's "Speaker Properties" and disabled "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
