razor7music Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 Nope, these aren't my first or the oldest versions of Sonar I've had, but these are the manuals I'd kept. It was throw old stuff away day, and alas (snif, snif) I've thrown them away now, but wanted to share! 2
DeeringAmps Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 I have all that and more! Still have the floppies to install professional 3.0 ? t i am not a hoarder, Not a Hoarder! 1
brandon Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 I used to love the manuals. Made great bedtime reading -when you finally got to bed that is!
razor7music Posted November 24, 2020 Author Posted November 24, 2020 I used to think the large boxes and heavy manuals were so people thought they were getting more for all that money they were spending on the software! ?
TracingArcs Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Exactly the same manuals and versions I worked through. They still have lots of useful info in them. But I think they contributed to the divorce I went through. Reading these in bed constantly, constitutes "neglect" and "unreasonable behaviour" I understand. ? 2
sadicus Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 (edited) wait, we should get rid of them...? I still prefer books reading ahead of time then getting to it the next day (or hour) ...some of the SONAR learning books cost $$ and still look good on the shelf even if the data is not applicable to the new version, by just looking at the book you remember every chapter, no need to open it anymore. I like all the new features in Cbb, and you don't get animated image tutorials in a book. at least not yet. so you must have a book when it was just "Cakewalk" before the "SONAR" series Edited November 25, 2020 by sadicus

Many on products and companies that aren't around anymore. I had an old Sound Forge by Sonic Foundry. NI kontakt version 1. Emu Proteus sound module, Amt8 midi engine...on and on. Hard to part with, but with the onset of the digital age, I realized it was for sentimentality that I was keeping them. Not their content or usefulness.
