Billy86
When I go to CTRL-S to save a project, I get a popup message that says, "Channel name contains illegal characters and won't be changed." I've looked for the usual suspects such as weird symbols, but all I'm using are Upper and Lowercase letters, the dash and this _ Not sure what's causing the issue. What else should I look for? Thanks for any assistance.
Kalle Rantaaho
Channel name? Is that a typo? Do you mean Project name? Is it possible there's a weird symbol somewhere you're not looking?

Noel Borthwick
That's not our message. Check if one of your plugins is displaying that message.
Billy86
Thanks, Noel. I'll investigate that.
Acue
I get this message also when opening files. "Opening Project -box" stucks at these plugins: Loading FX Console Emulator Channel... Loading FX Console Emulator Bus...

Acue
I haven´t had any crashes, but I even got this popup message if I change the name of the buss. Not every time but often. I don´t use any weird characters If I open a project I get maybe 6 times this popup. It´s quite annoying to hit OK button every time. Project stops loading plugins when this popup appears. Here is two pictures of the popups:
Noel Borthwick
What plugins are used in this project?
Noel Borthwick
Hi Folks, It turns out that this problem is caused by a bug in the latest VST3 SDK that we updated to recently. I've fixed the issue and notified Steinberg since the bug will affect any host using the latest VST3 SDK. We'll include the fix in the next maintenance release which should be fairly soon. 2
